Medical Billing Student Success Story

Physicians Billing Professionals

I have always been destined for entrepreneurship.  I have worked in several different professions.  I have worked in the mortgage industry, I have worked in the healthcare industry, I have worked in the financial industry.  I have worked for many fortune 500 companies, but no matter what opportunities a particular company offered, I have always felt out of place.

I attended school for Massage Therapy and that didn't do anything for me at all.  I am a single mother raising a 10 year old son.  I feel very strong about being involved in his education and his upbringing, so I've always known it was important for me to do something where I pretty much had flexibility.  Another thing that has driven me to success is losing so many people in my life.  I lost my mother and my sister and I had to raise our younger siblings and I felt that I needed to show them a better way of life.  I just feel like owning your own business not only provides a great income it also allows a person to extend themselves when it comes to family.  This has always been important to me.

Just What the Career Doctor Ordered: Hot Careers in the Healthcare Industry

Not ready to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to become a doctor? Don't give up on the medical field quite yet. Healthcare is a multi-trillion dollar industry -- the largest and fastest growing in the US -- and it offers excellent career at all levels of experience and education.

A Quick Checkup on the Healthcare Industry

Healthcare is the largest and fastest growing industry in the US. In the span of a decade, healthcare costs are expected to double, rising from $1.9 trillion in 2004 to an estimated $4.0 trillion in 2015, according to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid.

What's Really Propping Up The Economy

Since 2001, the health-care industry has added 1.7 million jobs. The rest of the private sector? None.

If you really want to understand what makes the U.S. economy tick these days, don't go to Silicon Valley, Wall Street, or Washington. Just take a short trip to your local hospital. Park where you don't block the ambulances, and watch the unending flow of doctors, nurses, technicians, and support personnel. You'll have a front-row seat at the health-care economy.
