  • Healthcare and IT: Taiming HIPAA

Attorney John A. Gliedman suggests that health care companies enter into business associate agreements with their IT vendors to safeguard patient information as demanded by HIPAA.

New Medical Billing & Coding Forum Gaining Popularity

Billing-coding.com (BC) was created with the intention of providing a forum and recruitment section for Medical Billers & Coders to come together, ask questions, find resources and jobs within their ever fast growing industry.

Apart from the professional affiliations (ie. AAPC, AHIMA etc) there seems to be little information and resources that are FREE for members in this industry, where they can discuss the latest issues, ask for advice and find jobs from around the country.

For those of you starting out in the industry or those who currently work in small offices or even those who are contemplating starting in this industry, we hope that this site will provide everything you need to help find the answer you are seeking.

Mia Antonovich Signs Her First Client!
    Mia Antonovich
Mia Antonovich of Easton, PA (Greater PA Medical Outsourcing) recently signed her first client, a chiropractor who opened his practice on the same day that Mia graduated from Medical Billing Course.com! "I actually had my marketing strategy planned out prior to receiving my medical billing certificate," says Mia, "I didn't waste any time."

While driving to the mall one day, Mia noticed a sign for a new chiropractic practice. She stopped, wrote down the address, went home and immediately put together a "Welcome to Our Community" letter along with information about her Medical Billing Outsourcing Services. I received a call 3 days later, met with the doctor that same day and he signed my contract before I left!
