Medical Billing: Business/Career Provides Security
Medical Billing Course.com and Medical Billing Business Resources have experienced rapid growth in the past six months.  Tammy Harlan, CEO of Medical Billing Course, LLC attributes the rapid and substantial growth to several factors, but names a few as the primary reasons for the growth.

"Since Spring 2008, we've noticed that many of our new students and new business owners are individuals opting to leave their current positions in other industries", says Tammy.  Tammy states that many new medical billing students and medical billing business owners are now coming from the housing market, real-estate, mortgage lending, construction and manufacturing firms and retail, due obviously, to the continued slump occurring in these markets.

Why Are People Turning to the Healthcare Industry for Financial Security?
Do you wonder why the healthcare industry is becoming a popular choice for financial security? In this issue, we provide facts and statistics to help you understand.

Jobs in Healthcare - An Industry that Remains Strong & Booming

According to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, job opportunities in healthcare should be excellent in all employment settings with projected growth of 19 percent through 2014.  There are many reasons for the growth, but some key indicators are high job turnover, and the expected large number of retirements for boomers as well as people living longer, plus tougher immigration rules that are slowing the numbers of foreign health care workers entering the U.S.

Wages and salary in the health care industry are projected to increase 27 percent through 2014 as well, compared with 14 percent for all industries combined.  Projected rates of employment growth for the different segments within the healthcare industry start at 13 percent in hospitals.

Healthcare has Become the Beating Heart of America's Economy

In the past 15 years, the health care economy has pumped out 4.5 million new jobs, including related fields such as drug development and health insurance. A dozen of the 30 fastest-growing occupations are related to health care.

Even last month - as the unemployment rate took its biggest jump in 22 years - health care continued to add thousands of jobs.

No other industry matches this rapid growth spurt.

Globalization has closed factories. New technologies have shrunk retailers and agricultural operations. Few jobs have been created in the finance and insurance industry recently, with the exception of health and real estate. Then the housing bubble burst.
